Local Buzz

What it does

Local Buzz helps a person and their personal agent work out what to do in a city right now. The person works through a map, event cards, and an evening timeline. The agent works through structured WebMCP tools. Both operate on the same application state, so a change by one is visible to the other.

  • A live map with events happening now, candidate events, and places
  • Events and places from named sources, each with the date it was last checked
  • Local time and weather in the header
  • An evening timeline that can be built up and repaired as plans change
  • Stockholm as the primary city, with San Francisco to show the model carries to other cities

Product surface

Local Buzz map of central Stockholm with place and candidate markers and a map legend.
Stockholm: the map is the shared surface for the person and their agent.
Local Buzz map of San Francisco with the same markers and legend.
San Francisco: the same interaction model in a second city.
Local Buzz Happening Now view with an empty state and upcoming events listed below.
Happening now and later: when nothing is on, the page says so and shows what is next.
Local Buzz places list with venue cards, price bands, and add-to-evening buttons.
Places: venues with typical duration, price band, and the parts of an evening they suit.

The idea

The website is the domain expert. The personal agent is the user expert. The human remains the taste-maker. Local Buzz is not an itinerary generator that returns a static answer. It keeps a model of the night alive, so a person can change their mind and the plan adapts.
